I need you to take Stephen King's writing style as below, and place it in my prompt template.
Please make sure that the task is to write about AI taking over my life as a sci-fi thriller with twists and turns written like Stephen King.

Stephen King’s writing style is often described as direct and vivid, with a strong narrative voice that pulls readers into his stories. His approach is characterized by an accessible, conversational tone that makes even the most fantastical elements seem believable. King has a knack for creating realistic dialogue and richly detailed settings, which are instrumental in building suspense and horror.

King’s sentence structure varies widely to suit the pacing of his narrative. In tense scenes, he employs short, choppy sentences to ramp up the suspense. Conversely, when developing characters or setting a scene, he uses longer, more descriptive sentences that allow readers to fully immerse themselves in the world he has created. This flexibility in sentence structure helps maintain a dynamic rhythm throughout his novels, keeping readers engaged from start to finish.

One of King’s most notable techniques is his use of an active voice, which lends immediacy and intimacy to his storytelling. This choice helps to create a sense of urgency and draws readers closer to the characters’ experiences. Additionally, King often employs adverbs and adjectives sparingly, choosing instead strong, vivid verbs that convey action and emotion effectively. This not only tightens his prose but also enhances the visual imagery in his writing.

King’s use of foreshadowing and flashback is also adept, weaving complex narratives that span different times and perspectives. These elements are not just stylistic; they are integral to unfolding the multilayered plots for which he is known. This narrative complexity, combined with his straightforward prose, allows King to explore deep, often dark themes without losing his audience.

Stephen King’s writing style is a blend of straightforward narrative, vivid description, and careful pacing. His ability to balance detailed character development with gripping plotlines is what has made him a master of modern American literature, particularly in the horror genre. His style is both accessible and engaging, explaining his enduring popularity and influence.

vit who are helping us 1:35 out in the live chat so if you have any questions ask them at the end of this session we are also going to take up few 1:43 questions now let's look at this entire Series so we started this journey on the fifth Fab 1:50 and today on the 27th Fab we are talking about prepare for the exam day and these 1:55 are already videos which I went live in the past in case you missed out any of these videos the recordings are 2:02 available on the Microsoft reactor channel so please go ahead and watch that out and in case you have any 2:08 questions you can reach out to some of us uh on either on the LinkedIn or on the video 2:15 comments and how many of you are planning to join the fabric conference 2:20 the Microsoft fabric conference is happening at Las Vegas from 31st March 2:26 to 2nd April 2025 I'm planning to join that and we'll be seeing some of you 2:32 there David what's your plan uh unfort unfortunately I'm going to be missing it in this year but I have 2:39 a lot of friends and colleagues that are going to be flying to the US to attend the conference I'm sure are going to 2:44 miss a lot of fun okay and in case you need a discount coupon the code has been given here and 2:50 you can use that code to get the discount coupon for registering for this particular event it's a very very good 2:56 event I have attended it last year and I cannot wait to attend it this year you will get a lot of knowledge about fabric 3:02 you will meet lot of people who has expertise on fabric who are implementing fabric lot of customer who came with lot 3:09 of questions which you can also face in future so it's a really good opportunity to network and learn about Microsoft 3:16 fabric so my advice would be in case you are nearby place just plan to attend 3:21 Microsoft fabric Community Conference from 31st March to 2nd April with that 3:26 let's discuss about a challenge and David going to talk about that yeah look 3:32 um this has started already it's a power Vi Challenge for visualizations we are already in the 3:37 second week of the challenge but I do encourage everybody go and have a look at the link and you'll be able to see 3:43 some of the most amazing reports people from the community are creating and hey 3:49 it's never late you can still join the challenge and be part of the second week of the challenge which is about travel 3:56 IIT is this week is about traveling actually yes so we are continuing this four-week challenge it ends every Friday 4:03 and we will have it for four weeks and so you can continue to you know look for this Challenge and I have a question for 4:10 David here David like you know people like me who know a lot of Dex and power query but not very great at 4:16 visualization do you have any tips for us how can we create great visualizations yeah look uh my this is 4:23 my recommendation always you know aside you know of capturing business requirements and creating a storytelling 4:29 report you know look there there is so much content available right now out there that you can get ideas from and I 4:37 always suggest start with a with a you know with a with a proof of concept something small you can do that in canva 4:44 you can do that in figma to different tools for the signing reports and then you can take that idea to 4:51 powerbi everything starts from a concept you know once that you create the first 4:56 report that is visually great then you just leverage the same idea you change 5:02 it a little bit here and there but that's what I do to be honest I started with a good report and then you know I 5:09 made a few changes every time I work in a different different business 5:14 concept yep that's great so what I'm going to uh uh so what you can also do 5:20 is if you in case you need some data sets you can use the microsofts data set otherwise I think there are open sides 5:25 where the data sets is available if you're not able to find some data sets so and you can ask for the link uh in 5:31 the uh chat and moderators or we will be supplying it little later in case you are looking for data set but David is 5:38 going to talk about how can you get discount if you made it this far in our series don't forget to to get your 50% 5:45 discount for passing the dp700 exam um Amit have you done the exam already I'm 5:52 preparing for it do it okay go for it I'm sure you're going to pass um I did it the three or four months ago ago I 6:00 can tell you it's challenging but if you put that4 I'm sure you're going to pass 6:05 yeah the beta was not available in India so we have to wait and now it's there and I'm planning for a date and then I'm 6:11 going to get this exam very soon and I'm looking forward for you know lots of 6:17 things coming out of this series which will help us to pass out that exam okay so all of those who have 6:24 joined the live chat time for you to say hi in the chat window and interact with 6:31 us uh we have the moderators who are will to answer your questions and at the end of this session me and David will 6:38 also try to take few of your questions so let's open 6:45 this for the David all right how to prepare for the exam the the good thing 6:52 about today's um tips and tricks that we're going to share with you is that many of them many of the those uh tips 7:00 and tricks they do apply to other Microsoft exams because the platform is quite similar but um do we have an 7:07 agenda for today or we just free flowing through the summit Do you have an agenda that we can follow yes we have the 7:14 agenda and the agenda is why should one get certified means why should somebody 7:20 want to take dp700 then how to prepare it then we will also talk about the exam format and 7:28 then the trips and tricks for the exam date followed by qaa at the end one must also remember that 7:34 dp23 which was on Azor on the similar Concepts is retiring on 31st March and 7:40 dp700 which is on Microsoft fabric data engineering is going to take place of 7:47 this new exam so be ready for dp700 and in case you plan to renew dp23 time for 7:54 you to look forward for DP 700 not for dp23 8:03 why so David how why should we get certified why why should you right okay 8:08 look I always share um let's go and share a few metrics that are available 8:13 uh that you know are fundamentals and concepts of getting certified but I 8:18 always mention look C getting a certification is for is like a checkpoint right you're trying to 8:25 validate the knowledge that you have acquired on a specific tool plat and in this case about data engineering 8:32 with Microsoft fabric it's about getting that validation you know saying okay cool all the things that I know actually 8:39 they do align with Microsoft best practices recommendations guidelines and the way that we should be using the tool 8:46 right now getting the certification Al also is going to support you to start 8:52 using that knowledge and gain experience as you know experience and 8:58 knowledge they go together so that's how how you're going to become a successful data professional 9:06 now a few let's say treats for you right okay so you'll be able to get high 9:13 faster you'll be able to get rewarded feel satisfied you know it's an achievement you can share that in the 9:20 social networks add that to your resume trying to go for go for a different role 9:26 you know maybe you were doing something different and now that you have acquired um a certification you can go 9:32 and have a child with your manager and maybe try to get a new position and of course I know that we're talking about 9:39 powerbi and we cannot talk about powerbi Microsoft fabric without talking about numbers so in the next slide you will 9:47 see actually that people do get like hired faster they get promoted they get 9:53 the salary increased so you can see here metrics kpis that justify you getting a 10:00 certification I tell you my personal experience with certifications has been 10:05 the following following one I study I go get the certification then I make sure 10:12 that I get the experience that I get to practice what I learned while studying 10:17 for that certification get experience you know if you don't have the opportunity in your current position 10:24 spend a little bit of your free time you know it's going to pay off and one that you have the experience plus the 10:30 certification you'll be able to you know get salary increase get a new position 10:35 get high faster and be recognized as a data engineer data engineer with 10:41 Microsoft fabric as part of the dp700 exam what about you Amit do you have 10:47 anything to add to that has your experience actually so I I think as a 10:53 hiring manager if you ask me I always feel if the person is certified the resume is easy to pick up so if you one 11:00 looking for a job and there is a certification on your resume it will easily get picked up so what happens we 11:06 get you know those thousands of resumes and we need a filtering and in that filtering if you are a certified 11:12 especially like DP 600 or 700 there are a lot of chances that your resume is going to pick up because this is the 11:18 Technologies which people are looking for right now Microsoft fabric has been adopted by you know many customers and 11:25 there is a natural upgrade happening for the powerbi customer to Microsoft Fabric and there is a definitely skill set 11:31 shortage because Microsoft fabric is a very big ecosystem so those who are coming from AZ world have idea about 11:38 some quite a few things but if you are one like only from powerbi World then 11:43 definitely we are looking here for some skill shortage and that is where you know is going to benefit all of you who 11:51 are preparing for this exam that or doing this exam that your resume will 11:56 get higher visibility it is going to be easy picked up and because there is a 12:02 shortage because people are migrating to you know larger data engineering and the reason for this 12:10 larger data engineering is not only going from powerbi to Microsoft Fabric or from AO data ecosystem to Microsoft 12:17 fabric ecosystem we have this bigger wave of AI and you know we talk about 12:23 this that you know bad data means bad Ai and similarly we used to talk about you 12:28 know garbage in garbage in business intelligence and data analytics world so we need the high quality data and who's 12:34 going to bring this high quality data which is coming at speed which is high in volume so we have volume velocity 12:41 everything so Microsoft fabric can bring in these kind of data which is near real 12:46 time which is uh you know maybe U every 10 minutes every 1 hour every day every 12:52 month all those type of data can bring whether it's iot device or whether it is you know the your olp or old oldp system 13:01 your Erp CRM we can bring all those using Microsoft fabric 46% of the business are 13:07 recruiting for the roles of data skills and struggle have all past two years and 13:12 this is true because I know I am hiring for you know almost five years now for data business intelligence and data 13:17 analytics there is always a need there is no single day when we are not looking for a data analytics 13:24 professional and if you are a data professional specifically covering every everything what we have in Microsoft 13:30 fabric your salary scales are going to be significantly higher than compared to 13:36 only you know on a particular area so you could be only a powerbi developer you could only be ETL developer you can 13:42 only be a realtime Antics developer you can can only be a developer who's developing ETL in P spark or Scala 13:48 versus someone who's developing an SQL or only one who's working with data Factory which include data pipelines and 13:54 data flow gen so this is a complete ecosystem for data analytics and 14:00 upskilling to Microsoft Fabric and getting a certification like dp600 14:06 definitely will help you and the shortage of the skill in the market is also going to help you out in getting 14:13 quicker jobs or better role in your own organization so some of you who has 14:21 joined this for very first time and might not have attended our previous sessions might have a question you know 14:28 uh what Microsoft is bringing to us Microsoft fabric is bringing to us and 14:33 why it is you know getting so much of attention of Microsoft fabric what is 14:38 this platform and what are the Technologies which are coming in here which we are talking about and you know 14:46 which will help any everybody to you know get to the next level so let's just talk about the definition of Microsoft 14:53 Fabric and then I'm going to take you uh through you know one slide where we'll explain you what all components we have 14:58 in Microsoft fabric so Microsoft fabric was launched at a public preview in May 15:04 2023 and it became generally available in November 2023 Microsoft fabric is an 15:10 end to-end data analytics platform that brings together data preparation data warehousing data engineering data 15:16 science realtime analytics and business intelligence under one unified SS foundation and one copy of data stored 15:24 in one L so are we not having the similar things previously available 15:29 why we are talking about a unified platform what is that it is additionally giving us which is not available so like 15:36 in today's world if I need like data Factory I have a z data Factory I need 15:43 warehouses I can go for signups I can go for Cosmos DB for a smaller purpose even 15:48 I can use a your SQL then if I need a data science or maybe data engineering I 15:55 have lake houses I can create Delta Lake in a I can use uh notebooks spark notebooks and a using 16:02 data breaks if I need SQL databases I have a z SQL for real time we have Costo 16:09 powerb definitely is available we have real time alerting so what is that Microsoft fabric is so unique the 16:15 unified platform what it is bringing to us which is not available with us right 16:20 now so we have to understand that this is not a kit Microsoft is not giving us a kit it's a unified ecosystem with 16:27 unified architecture and unified experience when you are in Microsoft fabric you will not feel that these are 16:33 different tools just like when you are doing it on aure so in Azure it might go to data Factory or maybe I go to signups 16:40 or may I go to some other tool maybe there are third party tools also available I may feel they are not from the same ecosystem I may have a 16:47 different experience but in Microsoft fabric everything is Unified under one architecture everything has been work 16:53 ground up to work together and look in a similar experience 16:59 so when we talk about all these workloads all of them will save their 17:04 data on something known as one Lake this is the single virtualized storage for your entire tenant even across regions 17:12 it will virtualize it to look like you know it's a single storage yes there could be chances when you have 17:19 requirement that you know in that particular region I want to save it on a particular workspace or a particular 17:24 region then at the workspace level we do have a control where you can keep it in a particular region but it will look like a virtualized one 17:31 link so we have one storage then comes the common compute now all these 17:36 workload can use one common compute to run all of that if you want more than one yes you can do that and we have the 17:43 again control available at the workspace level now what is that you know making it so 17:51 unique and that one more thing is there basically and when we talk about one copy entire structure data whether you 17:58 are using lake houses which is there for both structured and unstructured data for structur data whether you use 18:04 Warehouse which is only for structure data and can read and write using tsql 18:10 or whether you're saving it using data Factory which is include data flow Geno or data pipeline copy job or copy 18:17 activity or you want to use copy job everything which you are saving is going to be saved in Delta Park for structure 18:24 data what does it means is that in case I saved some on lake house and I want to 18:30 use it on Warehouse I doesn't need another copy of data I can continue to use that same copy of data in my other 18:38 experiences which avoids unnecessary copy in the data engineering so this is just a brief overview what you can do on 18:45 Microsoft fabric we have lots of video on Microsoft reor for that and from Individual MVPs you can go ahead and 18:51 look at that and take advantage but now when you got the brief idea of what Microsoft fabric for some of you are 18:57 joining us for first time please go ahead and watch the other videos of the series where we have discussed dp6 700 19:03 so to get the complete benefit let's move forward and let's talk about what 19:09 is this Microsoft certified fabric data engineer certification this exam is 19:14 known as DP 6 700 and it's an intermediate exam level exam and it the 19:22 role is for data engineering what is the skills required for that so you need to 19:27 understand inje and transformation of data what all things are bringing injection and transformation in 19:34 Microsoft fabric we have data pipelines where we have copy data for injection 19:39 data pipelines are not only for copy job there are tons of other job including 19:45 calling notebooks data flow Gen 2 and all other activities which are available 19:51 in Microsoft fabric then for inje we can also use data flow Gen 2 data flow Gen 2 19:56 is a powerful tool you can also use for transformation of data we have copy job for inje if you 20:03 are very well wor with spark you can also use python or Scala for bringing in 20:10 your data and transforming it you if you are a SQL expert you can do the 20:15 transformation using SQL and typically if you want to write using SQL means 20:20 read is always possible on a lake house as well as Warehouse if you want tsql and when I say SQL means tsql if you 20:26 need tsql to write back then you can use warehouse and you can use transformation 20:32 using SQL then you want to secure and manage your analytic solution for 20:37 securing you have the admin portal you have certain controls at the Azure level also like when you want to create the 20:44 service principles so you have certain permissions there you have the Microsoft fabric admin portal which is very 20:50 similar to powerbi admin portal where you can manage and secure services so you have to go and look at each and 20:55 every permission monitoring and optimizing your solution so you we have the Microsoft fabric monitoring app 21:03 where you can see how your data is getting utilized previously on the powerbi and now also on Microsoft fabric 21:08 we have repaired uses also which you can help and there are other tools which are 21:13 available in Microsoft fabric which can help you in you know monitoring and optimizing so all these things you have 21:20 to learn so Technologies for you is SQL P Square custo for Real Time power query 21:27 for transformation decks for creating your measures 21:32 and calculations in powerbi level so all these things are available all these Technologies are available and you need 21:39 to have a proficiency level of all these because in dp700 and David can add more 21:44 to it you might have questions around all these Technologies so David we need to have expertise at all of these or we 21:51 can leave one of those Technologies look you have to know a little bit about each technology but if 21:58 you have a a lot of experience in one of them that's going to allow you to cover 22:04 a lot of ground in theam remember you know like we're going to talk about the score and so on right but you don't have 22:10 to get all the answers right okay so now let's come to how to 22:16 prepare how we will prepare for it so we have the learn module so you have to 22:22 complete all dp700 Microsoft fabric learn mod module watch expert L DP 700 22:29 learn together series which we are doing right now so this is the same series which you can do it is already been done 22:34 twice so you can watch all the videos it's done once in morning once in evening so you can go ahead and watch 22:40 whichever uh video you would like and every time you watch you know every expert has a different perspective so 22:45 you will learn more other than that Microsoft fabric documentation is really 22:50 really good my advice would be always look at that documentation there is a very well organized documentation when 22:57 you go ask go and what is Microsoft p and from there you can drill down in fact many MVPs like me and David has 23:04 shared a lot of blogs around that we have serieses around that where you can go ahead and take the full advantage of 23:10 you know all those features which are came till now so some of us has started really early so you will see those older 23:17 uis where we have captured all those things and then slowly we have you know all these uh you know latest things and 23:24 latest feature which keep on coming and Microsoft fabric is really Dynamic you a lot of new features which is keep on coming in so just keep ey but keep on 23:31 working on the basics of kql SQL and Dex so that will help you so always remember 23:38 that you need to know each and every functionality and basics of all the technologies that will help you answer 23:44 all the questions so and then you can watch this complete series so if you click on the channel link from there you 23:51 will be able to get the entire Series in the playlist now let's get some from 24:00 David yeah look make sure that you study for the exam this is as any other exam 24:06 exam that you have done before right it's not the same having the experience in the knowledge than preparing for the 24:12 exam so make sure you have look at the resources that Amit mentioned have a look at the there's even a path a 24:18 learning path that that you can follow to become a good dat engineer with 24:24 Microsoft fabric but I don't know about you Amit but in my case 24:29 you know I like the learning path and so on but I like to go and test the services you know create pipelines 24:36 making them fail you know trying to do the same with the notebook the data flows trying to understand how to 24:42 optimize resources you know if you put your hat of a data engineer 24:48 independently of it's Microsoft Fabric or not if you put the hat that I'm a DAT engineer you know all the questions they 24:55 will come naturally you know go and give it a go my my best recommendation I think that I can give you today for the 25:01 exam is practice practice practice 25:06 so um one one of the this is new for me okay when I've done the exam a few months back as well so the Micosoft L 25:15 portal is available to you so that means that you'll be able actually to search 25:21 for questions in the exam so that mean that you'll have the portal with a 25:26 specific question and then you'll be able to open the Microsoft L portal you 25:32 will open that website from the application you can see it here side by 25:38 side on on the left side you have the application on the right side you have the Microsoft l site so now while the 25:46 Microsoft land portal is available to you it's not that you're going to have a 25:51 lot of time to search for each question okay so make sure that you understand 25:57 how the information is organized in Microsoft land so that going to allow you to you know not every question but 26:04 if you you are thinking about something a specific question about a specific 26:09 view to monitor performance you know understanding the Microsoft landar portal is going to allow you to easily 26:17 find a section without you having to go you know through through a maze run trying to understand where that 26:23 information is so yeah go and learn about Microsoft land how the information 26:28 is a structure how to easily navigate the different sections and more important remember this is available to 26:35 you but I don't we don't recommend it to use it for every question you know some questions that maybe you are deciding 26:41 between A and B you know go and give it a go yeah and I agree to David when he 26:48 talks about that you know go ahead and experiment I'll tell you some of these exams could be really detailed oriented 26:54 and unless you practice it and for that you need to have either a Microsoft fabric capacity or a trial capacity I 27:01 think uh trials are now getting limited but still uh it look at your tenant if you have a trial capacity available in 27:08 case you don't have one purchased one in your organization please go ahead and start that and start using that to 27:15 practice it a lot see you will remember most of the things when you practice it 27:20 a lot like when we create data flow Gen 2 Data pipelines or when we try to create warehouses or lake houses some of 27:27 those things will work some of those things doesn't work and that is where we go ahead and explore all the options and 27:33 we will be able to know more now what happens here is some of these things are really really detailed and because it's 27:39 a intermediate level exam you might get little difficult portion then compared to what you were getting in dp600 that's 27:45 what the expectation is now here in that case it means that you have done a lot of practice and that's where I think 27:52 David is rightly pointed out practice practice and practice so more and more practice you do on 27:59 Microsoft fabric that is going to help you out and if you have some questions please ask in the chat window if you're 28:05 not aware how to start the trial uh moderators will help you out by giving them the link how to start that exam and 28:12 we will may be able to answer the same question little later 28:18 so go ahead try it out and then you will definitely be able to crack this exam 28:24 very easily if you have practiced it my advice would be pay attention to every detail what you are seeing on the 28:30 screens of Microsoft Fabric and every technology the next thing which we would 28:36 like to talk about is exam format and scoring so how what what is going to be the exam format and how it's going to be 28:42 scored so first of all we to understand the basics of the exam so we will have 28:49 typically 60 Questions and it is not that everything is of the same marks 28:55 there could be questions which is having one point could be questions which is having more than one 29:00 point answer all questions because there are no palente marks so you will not get Negative marking so you can pretty much 29:07 answer everything which you know and if you're not sure that this is the answer 29:12 Mark item for review so that later on you can come in and look at that for time you have 180 minutes 150 29:22 minutes to answer the questions and 30 minutes for miscellaneous so usually I 29:27 think 80 minutes are usually sufficient but I would like to understand from David David do you think 180 minutes are 29:34 sufficient for this kind of exam they just enough so I give you an 29:39 example so many times all I'll put all the EXs I ever done with Microsoft I 29:46 usually maximum I have 10 minutes left or something like that and I use that 29:52 time you know to review some of the questions that I'm not so sure about with dp700 29:58 I run into the last minute you know I used every single second available to 30:04 reach out the last question so I think with that you can 30:10 understand the level of dp700 what David has said that you know it's going to 30:16 last minute uh with the expert like David so you can think about that this exam is going to take you know a lot of 30:23 time when you're you know going through that exam so I think preparation is the key for 30:29 that we will have multiple choice questions means there could be more than one choices so like build a list hot 30:36 area active screen drag and drop and performance- based question and then definitely there would be a case study a 30:41 long case study which you have to go through and based on that there would be questions based on that case study 30:49 so so you have to read that case study very carefully because there would be certain stats which are there and based 30:55 on that stats like they might talk about you know the what what is use what are 31:01 the what is the business what are the business problem and all those things might be there in the case study so read 31:08 that case study carefully and try to answer the questions which are after their the case 31:16 study so let's understand from David how the exam is scored yeah look there are a score 31:22 basically from zero to 1,000 and you have to achieve 700 in the score to pass 31:28 as you mentioned Amit so not every question has the same H number of points 31:33 some questions might be one point while other more difficult questions might be more than one point so some questions 31:40 they'll be more important than other ones now 700 is is good because U this 31:47 you don't get the penalty so if you're not sure about the question just Mark 31:53 your break your mark your best guess choose the option that you think you have an idea it could be you know and 32:00 you're not going to get a penalty for marking that question don't leave any question on answered that's the best one 32:07 okay so make sure that you you mark the question if you're not so sure you can 32:12 put it for being review later but you know keep going uh I want to show you I 32:19 want to share with you a few tips and tricks in in the last section of the presentation but yeah 700 700 is more 32:25 than achievable if you for any reason you know you you didn't pass the exam you get 600 or 500 score at least you 32:34 got a lot of experience on the platform the type of questions and my suggestion 32:39 will be go and book the exam you know in the next week or two weeks 32:48 after so what to expect on the Sunday so here you have a nice workflow that tells 32:54 you you know what what are the different next steps that you you go through for 32:59 doing the exam now I want to share a few things with you that they might not be 33:04 here so wherever you are doing the exam so you're only allowed to have one 33:10 Monitor and if you're using a laptop you can have that monitor connected to the laptop but the laptop lead it has to be 33:17 closed your desktop it has to be clean you're going to be taking pictures of 33:22 the desktop you're going to be taking pictures on the left on the right on the 33:27 back the front and sometimes even above you on the environment where you're 33:33 taking the exam make sure that H you have really 33:39 good internet connection there was one time that I did the exam in a public 33:46 Wi-Fi and that didn't go well I lost the connectivity for 10 minutes I was able 33:52 to rejoin you can rejoin the platform but you are wasting a lot of time at the 33:57 same time so let's quickly go through this so from where you start you know 34:02 the the Proctor is going to verify your identity so that means that you have to have an ID with a with a picture of you 34:09 on it it could be a driver license could be a passport the Proctor is going to unlock 34:15 the exam then you'll see the screen with the exam name you'll have to go through some initial slides for NDA and so on 34:24 then you're going to complete the survey for the skills so they're going to ask you what the 34:29 level of proficiency of you on different skills and then you're going to take the exam I always say look don't spend a lot 34:38 of time you know trying to complete the skill survey perfectly you know just try to go 34:46 through those through that section really fast so you can focus on the exam 34:52 now the time of the exam doesn't start until you get to that section that says 34:59 take the exam that's when your time starts ticking and it's going to finish 35:05 once that you review any questions that you want to revisit so you can see in the middle on the left so there are two 35:11 boxes take the exam review the questions so those are going to be using the 35:17 100 150 minutes of the exam then um with 35:23 exams when you finish uh submitting the results you will get the the score 35:29 immediately so that's a really good news sometimes you know they will tell you they will send the scores and so on but 35:35 in most cases if the exam is already already publicly available you will get 35:41 the results immediately and then you'll get to you know if you pass you'll get to celebrate share that in the social 35:47 networks if you don't pass hell look keep studying another couple of weeks and rebook the exam and and you 35:54 eventually you'll pass yeah and especially I think uh you need 36:00 to be really careful about you know um your identity verification of identity and I've seen lot of rejections which 36:07 happen um specifically in India because of you know not having the original ID 36:13 so you need to have your original ID then photographs should be latest so make sure that you know you don't have a 36:18 photographs which is six seven year old or not matching with you there there are places where you know uh the ID is 36:26 getting rejected because of that so you need to have the identity original identity frequ means your in case of 36:32 India it is usually Adar or pan card or passport and then you need to have one 36:38 of those which are latest so David in case of you know your case what are the typical identities which work here and 36:44 any tips you want to give on you know specifically related to Identity so that you know we don't get rejected at very 36:50 first stage yeah look my have two of them have a if you have a driver license 36:55 or you have a passport or any other sort of ID within your country you know try 37:02 to have two of them just in case you know something goes wrong with one of them when you're taking the picture what 37:08 happens to me many times when I'm taking the picture of the of the ID because most of them they are um they have a 37:14 layer of plastic sometimes the the light there a reflection of the light and it's really really difficult to capture 37:21 actually the details you know take your time ideally have two forms of 37:26 identification in case you run into trouble with one of them and look so then what I usually do 37:34 so once I know one of if my driver license works perfectly for the next 37:40 exam I'm going to be using the same one I stick to what it works 37:45 essentially yeah so I I think that's a great idea if there's some ID which is always working for you have that ID but 37:51 be careful I think whatever ID you are doing that's the one thing make sure your camera is 37:58 working pretty good condition internet connection is already David has pointed out should be really good because if 38:04 break you might know all the answers but if the internet connectivity breaks in between you might lose opportunity to 38:11 pass the exam for which you know everything so these are some really important tips which we have heard from 38:16 David so make sure that you are add her to that and you get your certification 38:23 and we get an opportunity to celebrate it celebrating dp7 38:29 100 so now we will go ahead and talk about some trips and tricks for exam 38:36 day okay so what we can do here is basically is 38:42 download the skill outline and practice the skill needed so we have the skill outline you can download make sure that 38:49 you complete the MS learning path review product documentation on Microsoft blog 38:55 so we have this uh documentation so if you search for Microsoft fabric 39:00 documentation or what is Microsoft fabric you should land into the base documentation of Microsoft fabric from 39:07 there you have linked to each and everything what is Microsoft fabric what is Lakehouse what is Warehouse what is 39:12 powerbi what is realtime analytics what is data engineering all these things you will look my advice would be 39:19 specifically go ahead and look at all the documentation there's a good amount of documentation on that you go step by 39:25 step and look at all of them ask other how they perform the task in case you look and you perform some task 39:32 you're not able to do it you go ahead go ahead and you know ask others how they have done it schedule the exam as a 39:38 forcing function so you schedule it on time so once you schedule it you you have a timeline in mind so you can 39:45 actually go ahead and look at the Timeline that within this timeline I need to prepare and you also need to 39:53 schedule a time for study daily you have to test study uh spend some time and I 39:58 think the best stady is to you know doing it on Microsoft Fabric and again as I said in case you need some data 40:05 sets a lot of data sets are available in fact from Microsoft side are also available and most of these things will 40:11 have a sample data so it is not that you don't have a data if you go to I think Warehouse you go to SQL DB you go to 40:18 real time analytics we already have a sample data for you so there is no lacking of sample 40:23 data for practicing other than that you can search for Microsoft of powerbi data 40:28 sets or Microsoft fa data sets you should be also able to get few more data sets to practice with then take a 40:34 practice test so when you go to this dp700 page you will get link for 40:40 practice test best way is to practice and try to understand if you answered a 40:47 question wrong why it is wrong because unless you understand that what you have 40:53 answered why it is wrong and what is the reason for the answers to come then we 41:00 make able to commit the same mistake when we give the exam So to avoid such mistakes it's always when we whenever we 41:06 answered a question whether it's we answered it correctly or incorrectly understand the reason in the practice 41:12 exam why that particular answer is correct and based on that if we do our preparation we will be able to answer 41:20 most of the question with ease in the main exam so spend a lot of time on practicing Microsoft fabric and practice 41:28 test other than completing the learn module and looking at the 41:34 documentation now before before before we move on Amit I was I wanted to ask 41:42 you know like there's a question in the chat actually what do you when you go through 41:48 the Microsoft exams independently of dp700 do you feel the questions are more 41:54 theorical theoretical or more practical questions David is the right person to answer this 42:01 because I'm the one who still need to take it but any any Mark if you've don't power VI or anyone I I find that there 42:08 are always the way that the questions are phrased they are more practical always you know say okayy you have this 42:14 problem um and you have to monitor performance do you use view a viewb or 42:21 Vic or something like that yes practical is always important because I have given dp600 I know this 42:28 there questions are practical and if they are theoretical be careful that because it's going to be really detailed 42:33 question there are features which are you know lying at some place and we typically May ignore it and there could 42:40 be a question around that so if it's theorical it's really going to be tricky yeah I think I find yeah I find like Al 42:46 in dp700 most of the questions they are they are practical I don't remember of many 42:53 theoretical so that mean that the majority is definitely practical on how to execute something how how to order 43:00 the different steps for provision provisioning a pipeline how to monitor a performance issue and so on um and we do 43:08 have another question is like um this one is related to something that you mentioned is about any tips on how 43:16 to approach the case study and I'll tell you something this is how I do it okay 43:22 and this is because it works for me so find something that works for you but this is how I approach the case studies 43:29 I don't read them I go straight to the question you know the case study you know let reading it and understanding it 43:37 is going to take you 10 minutes my recommendation is like go to the questions and based on that question 43:43 then you go back to the case study and try to find the answer for that question so by follow that approach Works quite 43:51 well for me I know some people prefer you know to go and read the case study understand all the information but for 43:57 me I just go to the question based on the question I go back to the case study and I try to find the 44:03 answer yeah I think that that's typically also how it works for me I definitely look one or two lines just 44:10 the introduction one and then I go to the questions read carefully what is been asked to the question and then go 44:15 to the case study and read it and thoroughly make sure that what I'm answering is what has been matching with 44:22 what has been said above in the case study but yes case study is going to take a little more time than compared to 44:28 other questions because there are questions answer which is lying within the case study and application of 44:34 Microsoft Fabric or related technology in the Microsoft fabric on that case study so it's going to be a little 44:40 tricky but I think it's usually easier if you have you know 44:46 started the way David had said and mostly there are chances that most of the question you may be answer correctly 44:52 if you are little um you have find out that way how to deal with case study and I think practice exam might have some 44:58 case studies so I think my advice would be go ahead and look at those practice exam case study and find out your own 45:04 that mechanism which works for you and it it could be a little different from what it is for me or David but usually 45:12 we will be able to figure out okay this is where it works best for me 45:19 yes okay so we are looking for a lot of questions from your side because uh we 45:24 have time today for answer the questions and feel free to ask the question anywhere from Microsoft Fabric and dp700 45:31 exam as far as we are um able to answer we'll try to you know accommodate those questions uh moderators would be able to 45:38 answer we will be able to take it up but just to let you know about this series how it went till so far is we started on 45:45 Fifth Fab followed by a session on Sixth Fab 12th and 13th 19th 20 and this is 45:50 the last session prepare for exam day which we are doing today and with this 45:56 this series will wrap up but all these recordings are available on 46:02 Microsoft reactor and you will be able to get and some of you who are looking on the YouTube just click on the icon 46:09 which is there for the uh Channel and you should be able to get this complete series you'll also be able to get it in 46:15 the playlist and again we will talk about 46:22 the event Microsoft fabric Community Conference and some of you who has 46:27 joined us a little late we discussed in the starting it's a great event in case some of you are joining I planning to 46:33 join that so come and meet me um last time there was an app where we can uh search people and you know connect with 46:40 them and hopefully there will be some app kind of that kind of app this time also where we will be able to connect with each other and then we'll be able 46:46 to meet during the breakfast lunch or the break timings there are a lot of sessions which are going to be there and 46:53 you need to pick and choose which you wanted to attend and some of those would be deep technical also so be ready for 46:59 to you know get the next step on Microsoft fabric at Microsoft fabric 47:04 Community Conference if you are looking for a discount code yes it has been given in front of you in the screen and 47:10 you should be able to get it and I think this challenge I think that is going to 47:16 give you a ticket to Microsoft fabric completely free powerbi database 47:21 challenge uh the world championship is ongoing and this can give you one free ticket I think one for each week David 47:28 can add to that which is going to be for Microsoft fabric Community Conference happening from 31st March to Second 47:35 April you can get the complete free pass to the conference for that what you have 47:41 to do is you have to design some beautiful powerbi reports and post it so 47:47 for that you can take this link aka.ms gc/ pbam same would be available 47:53 in the chat also and David once again there there are certain questions which we'll take it up and you can add to 48:00 anything you want to add for the powerb database challenge yeah look uh this comes back 48:07 to what you asked before if if you find difficult to signing report go and have 48:12 a look at this you know all there is a lot of reports already published by the community and I'm sure you can get some 48:19 ideas that they will apply to the business case within your 48:25 organization okay okay I think one of the question which came here and I think David you did discuss about that 48:30 question uh some time back how long does it take someone who has not answered any 48:37 exam of Microsoft to crack this exam that's a good question actually 48:43 look it I will say the best and safest answer will be it 48:49 depends but look uh understanding the so I always split it look let's split it 48:56 into two different items knowledge and experience and then understanding the 49:02 the other one will be understanding how the platform works you know it's really important for you to feel comfortable 49:09 with the platform that's what um that's why Amit mentioned you can go actually and have a look at the platform you know 49:15 take the test exam understand how the the format of the platform is you know 49:21 you have a single choice you have multiple choice you will have drag and drop you have you will have drop downs 49:27 you will have case studies you will have a section actually that they will ask ER 49:34 they will ask the same question and they will give you a different answer and it's a true true or false question 49:42 so let's I'm going to take the risk you know if it's your first when I first did 49:50 the my first Microsoft exam ever I prepared one month for it okay I prepare 49:58 one month part-time you know let's say two two hours a day during business days 50:04 only that's that's how long it took me but it depends on you you know I always 50:09 say when people come and ask me you know oh you know when when should I take the 50:15 exam I always tell them look take the take it next week give it a goal if you 50:21 don't pass I know you have to pay additional fees you know and that's not 50:26 easy but that will pay off you know go sit for the exam next week get a sense of the 50:32 questions the platform and if you don't pass rebook that exam two weeks after 50:38 you know all the investment I know the financial investment that you have to do for the exam if your company is not 50:44 paying for it it's going to pay off you know so if you have to take the same exam four times in four weeks to pass it 50:52 it's going to pay off yeah you usually I think one to two 50:58 months of preparation should be there I means and we have an assumption that you are well wor with Microsoft fabric then 51:04 that one month of preparation should be doing because I remember last time when it happened uh me and my team members do 51:11 have prepared for two couple of months before we appeared for the exam and it is really important that you know um you 51:17 go ahead and you know practice Microsoft Fabric and once you start getting comfortable with all the terminology 51:23 name how the flow works you know you are able to write down those SQL queries or Dex queries or kql queries simple kql 51:30 queries like you know there are you know so you have to understand there is a SQL there's a kql then there is a Dax and 51:36 then there's a power query portion to it so all little bit and there could be same operation which can be done across 51:42 and my best way to learn all those things I typically what I do is I let's say I take one file and I try to break 51:48 it into you know a star scheme or something and I look for all the commands which I'm going to run it or all the queries which I'm going to run 51:54 on that file and then I go ahead and practice a power query then I do it on the uh ppar then I go ahead and do it on 52:00 the SQL and then I try to do it on let's say kqu means kqu we may not do the similar kind of stuff but let's say if 52:06 I'm running a SQL for something I may also like to see if I can how can I run the kqu for that so in that manner what 52:12 happens is the technology which I'm more familiar with I try to relate it with that first of all to start with please 52:18 remember the Technologies are not same you know while you can have answering kql getting very similar to SQL but 52:26 there could be a better way there so always practice practice and practice as already David suggested so we have more 52:32 questions coming in so I'll take one more uh there uh so the question for 52:37 David is are you going to enter the powerbi data with world champion 52:43 sh am I the answer will be the answer will be no customers that keep me already too busy for doing like a to 52:50 being part of that b um I Look To be honest as well I'm Afra you I'm afraid of failure you 52:57 know I'm afraid of uh I was afraid of being part of that Championship but I should have give it a go you know and 53:05 I'm seeing already you know the the reports that they are being published by the community that are great lot of 53:12 great ideas you know that you can leverage for your different business reports 53:18 um okay I mean we have another question as well um during the exam if there is a 53:25 problem with the session and is restarted by the Proctor does that deduct from your total exam 53:33 time I'm really doubtful about that but in case it get restarted by proor it 53:38 should not get the time should not get deducted but I never had an experience for that uh so I I think I'm not 100% 53:46 sure on that but my ideal guess is it should not get detected yeah I I I had 53:51 that experience twice um and the last one actually was in the like six months 53:57 ago they didn't take out any any time from my my 150 minutes 54:04 okay yeah so and um I think for database 54:09 I I think I was also asking the same question to D sometime back like people like me who's little not great at 54:15 visualizations so I may also skip that because I don't think I'm really great at visualization but I'll try to learn 54:21 from what has been submitted because I've seen some of them are really amazing I'm really amazed the thinking 54:26 process which has been put to you know showcase that story and even if you're not participating my advice would be go 54:32 ahead and look at you know how people think about the business and how they put across that you know every single 54:39 visual has a thought process and that is really amazing so I think even if you are not participating not submitting 54:45 just go ahead and look at it but my advice would be please go ahead and try it out give it a shot um in case you 54:51 able to spend some time it's a great opportunity to you know showcase how can you approach this now while you can 54:59 continue to ask the questions again DP 600 uh sorry dp700 we have 50% discount 55:05 vouchers still available and aka.ms dp700 go Ahad complete the 55:12 challenge to get that I think we're getting to the top of 55:19 the hour uh let's see if we have any other questions okay we do have seems like 55:26 when Microsoft certifies someone what does it mean to hiring manager what is 55:32 Microsoft certify right I I give it a go I don't 55:39 know if I understand the question but the certification there there are granted to individuals right so if I I'm 55:47 a certified Microsoft fabric data engineer so when I leave my company and I joined the organ 55:54 another organization that certific if ation has been assigned to me is for me as an 55:59 individual on the other hand I know if you are working in a Consulting business 56:05 sometimes for the for specific businesses if they want to get a Microsoft 56:10 accreditation from a partner point of view they have to have a specific number 56:15 of certified Microsoft professionals within the business okay that'll be that'll be 56:21 from a from a business point of view and if you're not a Consulting business ER 56:27 seeking to be a Microsoft partner having employees who are 56:32 certified it give you a some sort of a peace of mind right Amit because you 56:38 know that your employees are following good practices guidelines I don't know if you find that in your case yeah I 56:45 think I just wanted to add what David had said so I'll so one is individual perspective so first of all you should 56:52 do it with your own email ID not your company's email ID even if you're doing for your company because on partn 56:58 Partner portal partn partner.microsoft.com you can attach your personal ID with 57:05 your current employer so that they can get benefited yes some of these certifications do count for your 57:12 partners for in their Skilling matrices for which they need to attain the solution partner or some other uh level 57:19 in the Microsoft world so definitely like we are a data and AI partner we do need certifications and we do encourage 57:26 people to do certification and once they do with their personal ID they do attach it on the Microsoft partner portal and 57:32 that is how we get that Skilling accreditation or Skilling credits as a partner that's one 57:40 part second is as a hiring manager when you have a certification on 57:45 your resume it becomes easier for us to pick up your resume because we know you have an expertise you have passed this 57:52 level of exam you have done something great to do that so that becomes easier 57:58 when you are trying for a new job and within the same job and having Microsoft fabric I'm telling you is a big deal 58:05 because it's complete data engineering which is there it's just not the visualization part it's just not the ETL 58:11 part it's just not the you know collection part it is the complete End to End Cycle which include data science 58:17 which include real time analytics which include you know data transformation and visualization so it's it's it's a great 58:24 thing to have in case you have that certificate so my advice would be having 58:29 this certificate on dp700 but definitely make sure that your resumes are getting picked up faster than anyone else who is 58:37 not having these kind of exams specifically if you're looking for data engineering job or Microsoft fabric job 58:44 which could be really high in this year which is 2025 David anything else you want to add 58:51 here look um I I only can say no in relation to that thank you to B and 58:56 Martin for being our moderators today and Michel for looking after us in in streamyard for the live stream I have a 59:05 lot of fun with you Amit giving this presentation and if anybody wants to connect with us go and search for us in 59:10 the social networks so thank you Amit it's been amazing thanks everybody than 59:16 you David thanks everyone who has joined this today's conference it is really amazing to see all of you here and it is 59:22 really pleasure to speak along with David it has been a long dream come 59:27 true thank you bye

Provide me the top 5 key moments the most important things being said in this video, that will help me succeed in passing in my exam and provide link to each segment.

[Music] 0:13 hey how you doing Amit I'm doing great David how are you doing I'm doing great 0:19 looking forward for this presentation I'm I'm tired you know I've been dancing for 10 minutes you've seen it in the 0:25 slide before right yes so good morning good evening 0:31 good afternoon everyone based on the time zone you are Jo joining I along with David welcomes you to this session 0:38 of prepare exam day for Q&A for dp700 and we 0:44 will take you through how to prepare for this exam day and we'll tell you the exam format and many other things while 0:51 we going through this presentation so let me go ahead and my name is Amit 0:56 Chand I'm a data platform MVP powerb Community super user and in case you want to reach out to me I might a Linkin 1:04 link has been given here in the URL I'm also a YouTuber with the same name I have my channel Amit Chand you can also 1:11 reach out to me let's hear from the David now and I'm David Alami an in 1:17 independent data architect and data consultant based in Australia um look if 1:22 you want to connect with any of us go and reach out in the search and netw 1:30 meet our moderators for the today we have Martin and vit who are helping us 1:35 out in the live chat so if you have any questions ask them at the end of this session we are also going to take up few 1:43 questions now let's look at this entire Series so we started this journey on the fifth Fab 1:50 and today on the 27th Fab we are talking about prepare for the exam day and these 1:55 are already videos which I went live in the past in case you missed out any of these videos the recordings are 2:02 available on the Microsoft reactor channel so please go ahead and watch that out and in case you have any 2:08 questions you can reach out to some of us uh on either on the LinkedIn or on the video 2:15 comments and how many of you are planning to join the fabric conference 2:20 the Microsoft fabric conference is happening at Las Vegas from 31st March 2:26 to 2nd April 2025 I'm planning to join that and we'll be seeing some of you 2:32 there David what's your plan uh unfort unfortunately I'm going to be missing it in this year but I have 2:39 a lot of friends and colleagues that are going to be flying to the US to attend the conference I'm sure are going to 2:44 miss a lot of fun okay and in case you need a discount coupon the code has been given here and 2:50 you can use that code to get the discount coupon for registering for this particular event it's a very very good 2:56 event I have attended it last year and I cannot wait to attend it this year you will get a lot of knowledge about fabric 3:02 you will meet lot of people who has expertise on fabric who are implementing fabric lot of customer who came with lot 3:09 of questions which you can also face in future so it's a really good opportunity to network and learn about Microsoft 3:16 fabric so my advice would be in case you are nearby place just plan to attend 3:21 Microsoft fabric Community Conference from 31st March to 2nd April with that 3:26 let's discuss about a challenge and David going to talk about that yeah look 3:32 um this has started already it's a power Vi Challenge for visualizations we are already in the 3:37 second week of the challenge but I do encourage everybody go and have a look at the link and you'll be able to see 3:43 some of the most amazing reports people from the community are creating and hey 3:49 it's never late you can still join the challenge and be part of the second week of the challenge which is about travel 3:56 IIT is this week is about traveling actually yes so we are continuing this four-week challenge it ends every Friday 4:03 and we will have it for four weeks and so you can continue to you know look for this Challenge and I have a question for 4:10 David here David like you know people like me who know a lot of Dex and power query but not very great at 4:16 visualization do you have any tips for us how can we create great visualizations yeah look uh my this is 4:23 my recommendation always you know aside you know of capturing business requirements and creating a storytelling 4:29 report you know look there there is so much content available right now out there that you can get ideas from and I 4:37 always suggest start with a with a you know with a with a proof of concept something small you can do that in canva 4:44 you can do that in figma to different tools for the signing reports and then you can take that idea to 4:51 powerbi everything starts from a concept you know once that you create the first 4:56 report that is visually great then you just leverage the same idea you change 5:02 it a little bit here and there but that's what I do to be honest I started with a good report and then you know I 5:09 made a few changes every time I work in a different different business 5:14 concept yep that's great so what I'm going to uh uh so what you can also do 5:20 is if you in case you need some data sets you can use the microsofts data set otherwise I think there are open sides 5:25 where the data sets is available if you're not able to find some data sets so and you can ask for the link uh in 5:31 the uh chat and moderators or we will be supplying it little later in case you are looking for data set but David is 5:38 going to talk about how can you get discount if you made it this far in our series don't forget to to get your 50% 5:45 discount for passing the dp700 exam um Amit have you done the exam already I'm 5:52 preparing for it do it okay go for it I'm sure you're going to pass um I did it the three or four months ago ago I 6:00 can tell you it's challenging but if you put that4 I'm sure you're going to pass 6:05 yeah the beta was not available in India so we have to wait and now it's there and I'm planning for a date and then I'm 6:11 going to get this exam very soon and I'm looking forward for you know lots of 6:17 things coming out of this series which will help us to pass out that exam okay so all of those who have 6:24 joined the live chat time for you to say hi in the chat window and interact with 6:31 us uh we have the moderators who are will to answer your questions and at the end of this session me and David will 6:38 also try to take few of your questions so let's open 6:45 this for the David all right how to prepare for the exam the the good thing 6:52 about today's um tips and tricks that we're going to share with you is that many of them many of the those uh tips 7:00 and tricks they do apply to other Microsoft exams because the platform is quite similar but um do we have an 7:07 agenda for today or we just free flowing through the summit Do you have an agenda that we can follow yes we have the 7:14 agenda and the agenda is why should one get certified means why should somebody 7:20 want to take dp700 then how to prepare it then we will also talk about the exam format and 7:28 then the trips and tricks for the exam date followed by qaa at the end one must also remember that 7:34 dp23 which was on Azor on the similar Concepts is retiring on 31st March and 7:40 dp700 which is on Microsoft fabric data engineering is going to take place of 7:47 this new exam so be ready for dp700 and in case you plan to renew dp23 time for 7:54 you to look forward for DP 700 not for dp23 8:03 why so David how why should we get certified why why should you right okay 8:08 look I always share um let's go and share a few metrics that are available 8:13 uh that you know are fundamentals and concepts of getting certified but I 8:18 always mention look C getting a certification is for is like a checkpoint right you're trying to 8:25 validate the knowledge that you have acquired on a specific tool plat and in this case about data engineering 8:32 with Microsoft fabric it's about getting that validation you know saying okay cool all the things that I know actually 8:39 they do align with Microsoft best practices recommendations guidelines and the way that we should be using the tool 8:46 right now getting the certification Al also is going to support you to start 8:52 using that knowledge and gain experience as you know experience and 8:58 knowledge they go together so that's how how you're going to become a successful data professional 9:06 now a few let's say treats for you right okay so you'll be able to get high 9:13 faster you'll be able to get rewarded feel satisfied you know it's an achievement you can share that in the 9:20 social networks add that to your resume trying to go for go for a different role 9:26 you know maybe you were doing something different and now that you have acquired um a certification you can go 9:32 and have a child with your manager and maybe try to get a new position and of course I know that we're talking about 9:39 powerbi and we cannot talk about powerbi Microsoft fabric without talking about numbers so in the next slide you will 9:47 see actually that people do get like hired faster they get promoted they get 9:53 the salary increased so you can see here metrics kpis that justify you getting a 10:00 certification I tell you my personal experience with certifications has been 10:05 the following following one I study I go get the certification then I make sure 10:12 that I get the experience that I get to practice what I learned while studying 10:17 for that certification get experience you know if you don't have the opportunity in your current position 10:24 spend a little bit of your free time you know it's going to pay off and one that you have the experience plus the 10:30 certification you'll be able to you know get salary increase get a new position 10:35 get high faster and be recognized as a data engineer data engineer with 10:41 Microsoft fabric as part of the dp700 exam what about you Amit do you have 10:47 anything to add to that has your experience actually so I I think as a 10:53 hiring manager if you ask me I always feel if the person is certified the resume is easy to pick up so if you one 11:00 looking for a job and there is a certification on your resume it will easily get picked up so what happens we 11:06 get you know those thousands of resumes and we need a filtering and in that filtering if you are a certified 11:12 especially like DP 600 or 700 there are a lot of chances that your resume is going to pick up because this is the 11:18 Technologies which people are looking for right now Microsoft fabric has been adopted by you know many customers and 11:25 there is a natural upgrade happening for the powerbi customer to Microsoft Fabric and there is a definitely skill set 11:31 shortage because Microsoft fabric is a very big ecosystem so those who are coming from AZ world have idea about 11:38 some quite a few things but if you are one like only from powerbi World then 11:43 definitely we are looking here for some skill shortage and that is where you know is going to benefit all of you who 11:51 are preparing for this exam that or doing this exam that your resume will 11:56 get higher visibility it is going to be easy picked up and because there is a 12:02 shortage because people are migrating to you know larger data engineering and the reason for this 12:10 larger data engineering is not only going from powerbi to Microsoft Fabric or from AO data ecosystem to Microsoft 12:17 fabric ecosystem we have this bigger wave of AI and you know we talk about 12:23 this that you know bad data means bad Ai and similarly we used to talk about you 12:28 know garbage in garbage in business intelligence and data analytics world so we need the high quality data and who's 12:34 going to bring this high quality data which is coming at speed which is high in volume so we have volume velocity 12:41 everything so Microsoft fabric can bring in these kind of data which is near real 12:46 time which is uh you know maybe U every 10 minutes every 1 hour every day every 12:52 month all those type of data can bring whether it's iot device or whether it is you know the your olp or old oldp system 13:01 your Erp CRM we can bring all those using Microsoft fabric 46% of the business are 13:07 recruiting for the roles of data skills and struggle have all past two years and 13:12 this is true because I know I am hiring for you know almost five years now for data business intelligence and data 13:17 analytics there is always a need there is no single day when we are not looking for a data analytics 13:24 professional and if you are a data professional specifically covering every everything what we have in Microsoft 13:30 fabric your salary scales are going to be significantly higher than compared to 13:36 only you know on a particular area so you could be only a powerbi developer you could only be ETL developer you can 13:42 only be a realtime Antics developer you can can only be a developer who's developing ETL in P spark or Scala 13:48 versus someone who's developing an SQL or only one who's working with data Factory which include data pipelines and 13:54 data flow gen so this is a complete ecosystem for data analytics and 14:00 upskilling to Microsoft Fabric and getting a certification like dp600 14:06 definitely will help you and the shortage of the skill in the market is also going to help you out in getting 14:13 quicker jobs or better role in your own organization so some of you who has 14:21 joined this for very first time and might not have attended our previous sessions might have a question you know 14:28 uh what Microsoft is bringing to us Microsoft fabric is bringing to us and 14:33 why it is you know getting so much of attention of Microsoft fabric what is 14:38 this platform and what are the Technologies which are coming in here which we are talking about and you know 14:46 which will help any everybody to you know get to the next level so let's just talk about the definition of Microsoft 14:53 Fabric and then I'm going to take you uh through you know one slide where we'll explain you what all components we have 14:58 in Microsoft fabric so Microsoft fabric was launched at a public preview in May 15:04 2023 and it became generally available in November 2023 Microsoft fabric is an 15:10 end to-end data analytics platform that brings together data preparation data warehousing data engineering data 15:16 science realtime analytics and business intelligence under one unified SS foundation and one copy of data stored 15:24 in one L so are we not having the similar things previously available 15:29 why we are talking about a unified platform what is that it is additionally giving us which is not available so like 15:36 in today's world if I need like data Factory I have a z data Factory I need 15:43 warehouses I can go for signups I can go for Cosmos DB for a smaller purpose even 15:48 I can use a your SQL then if I need a data science or maybe data engineering I 15:55 have lake houses I can create Delta Lake in a I can use uh notebooks spark notebooks and a using 16:02 data breaks if I need SQL databases I have a z SQL for real time we have Costo 16:09 powerb definitely is available we have real time alerting so what is that Microsoft fabric is so unique the 16:15 unified platform what it is bringing to us which is not available with us right 16:20 now so we have to understand that this is not a kit Microsoft is not giving us a kit it's a unified ecosystem with 16:27 unified architecture and unified experience when you are in Microsoft fabric you will not feel that these are 16:33 different tools just like when you are doing it on aure so in Azure it might go to data Factory or maybe I go to signups 16:40 or may I go to some other tool maybe there are third party tools also available I may feel they are not from the same ecosystem I may have a 16:47 different experience but in Microsoft fabric everything is Unified under one architecture everything has been work 16:53 ground up to work together and look in a similar experience 16:59 so when we talk about all these workloads all of them will save their 17:04 data on something known as one Lake this is the single virtualized storage for your entire tenant even across regions 17:12 it will virtualize it to look like you know it's a single storage yes there could be chances when you have 17:19 requirement that you know in that particular region I want to save it on a particular workspace or a particular 17:24 region then at the workspace level we do have a control where you can keep it in a particular region but it will look like a virtualized one 17:31 link so we have one storage then comes the common compute now all these 17:36 workload can use one common compute to run all of that if you want more than one yes you can do that and we have the 17:43 again control available at the workspace level now what is that you know making it so 17:51 unique and that one more thing is there basically and when we talk about one copy entire structure data whether you 17:58 are using lake houses which is there for both structured and unstructured data for structur data whether you use 18:04 Warehouse which is only for structure data and can read and write using tsql 18:10 or whether you're saving it using data Factory which is include data flow Geno or data pipeline copy job or copy 18:17 activity or you want to use copy job everything which you are saving is going to be saved in Delta Park for structure 18:24 data what does it means is that in case I saved some on lake house and I want to 18:30 use it on Warehouse I doesn't need another copy of data I can continue to use that same copy of data in my other 18:38 experiences which avoids unnecessary copy in the data engineering so this is just a brief overview what you can do on 18:45 Microsoft fabric we have lots of video on Microsoft reor for that and from Individual MVPs you can go ahead and 18:51 look at that and take advantage but now when you got the brief idea of what Microsoft fabric for some of you are 18:57 joining us for first time please go ahead and watch the other videos of the series where we have discussed dp6 700 19:03 so to get the complete benefit let's move forward and let's talk about what 19:09 is this Microsoft certified fabric data engineer certification this exam is 19:14 known as DP 6 700 and it's an intermediate exam level exam and it the 19:22 role is for data engineering what is the skills required for that so you need to 19:27 understand inje and transformation of data what all things are bringing injection and transformation in 19:34 Microsoft fabric we have data pipelines where we have copy data for injection 19:39 data pipelines are not only for copy job there are tons of other job including 19:45 calling notebooks data flow Gen 2 and all other activities which are available 19:51 in Microsoft fabric then for inje we can also use data flow Gen 2 data flow Gen 2 19:56 is a powerful tool you can also use for transformation of data we have copy job for inje if you 20:03 are very well wor with spark you can also use python or Scala for bringing in 20:10 your data and transforming it you if you are a SQL expert you can do the 20:15 transformation using SQL and typically if you want to write using SQL means 20:20 read is always possible on a lake house as well as Warehouse if you want tsql and when I say SQL means tsql if you 20:26 need tsql to write back then you can use warehouse and you can use transformation 20:32 using SQL then you want to secure and manage your analytic solution for 20:37 securing you have the admin portal you have certain controls at the Azure level also like when you want to create the 20:44 service principles so you have certain permissions there you have the Microsoft fabric admin portal which is very 20:50 similar to powerbi admin portal where you can manage and secure services so you have to go and look at each and 20:55 every permission monitoring and optimizing your solution so you we have the Microsoft fabric monitoring app 21:03 where you can see how your data is getting utilized previously on the powerbi and now also on Microsoft fabric 21:08 we have repaired uses also which you can help and there are other tools which are 21:13 available in Microsoft fabric which can help you in you know monitoring and optimizing so all these things you have 21:20 to learn so Technologies for you is SQL P Square custo for Real Time power query 21:27 for transformation decks for creating your measures 21:32 and calculations in powerbi level so all these things are available all these Technologies are available and you need 21:39 to have a proficiency level of all these because in dp700 and David can add more 21:44 to it you might have questions around all these Technologies so David we need to have expertise at all of these or we 21:51 can leave one of those Technologies look you have to know a little bit about each technology but if 21:58 you have a a lot of experience in one of them that's going to allow you to cover 22:04 a lot of ground in theam remember you know like we're going to talk about the score and so on right but you don't have 22:10 to get all the answers right okay so now let's come to how to 22:16 prepare how we will prepare for it so we have the learn module so you have to 22:22 complete all dp700 Microsoft fabric learn mod module watch expert L DP 700 22:29 learn together series which we are doing right now so this is the same series which you can do it is already been done 22:34 twice so you can watch all the videos it's done once in morning once in evening so you can go ahead and watch 22:40 whichever uh video you would like and every time you watch you know every expert has a different perspective so 22:45 you will learn more other than that Microsoft fabric documentation is really 22:50 really good my advice would be always look at that documentation there is a very well organized documentation when 22:57 you go ask go and what is Microsoft p and from there you can drill down in fact many MVPs like me and David has 23:04 shared a lot of blogs around that we have serieses around that where you can go ahead and take the full advantage of 23:10 you know all those features which are came till now so some of us has started really early so you will see those older 23:17 uis where we have captured all those things and then slowly we have you know all these uh you know latest things and 23:24 latest feature which keep on coming and Microsoft fabric is really Dynamic you a lot of new features which is keep on coming in so just keep ey but keep on 23:31 working on the basics of kql SQL and Dex so that will help you so always remember 23:38 that you need to know each and every functionality and basics of all the technologies that will help you answer 23:44 all the questions so and then you can watch this complete series so if you click on the channel link from there you 23:51 will be able to get the entire Series in the playlist now let's get some from 24:00 David yeah look make sure that you study for the exam this is as any other exam 24:06 exam that you have done before right it's not the same having the experience in the knowledge than preparing for the 24:12 exam so make sure you have look at the resources that Amit mentioned have a look at the there's even a path a 24:18 learning path that that you can follow to become a good dat engineer with 24:24 Microsoft fabric but I don't know about you Amit but in my case 24:29 you know I like the learning path and so on but I like to go and test the services you know create pipelines 24:36 making them fail you know trying to do the same with the notebook the data flows trying to understand how to 24:42 optimize resources you know if you put your hat of a data engineer 24:48 independently of it's Microsoft Fabric or not if you put the hat that I'm a DAT engineer you know all the questions they 24:55 will come naturally you know go and give it a go my my best recommendation I think that I can give you today for the 25:01 exam is practice practice practice 25:06 so um one one of the this is new for me okay when I've done the exam a few months back as well so the Micosoft L 25:15 portal is available to you so that means that you'll be able actually to search 25:21 for questions in the exam so that mean that you'll have the portal with a 25:26 specific question and then you'll be able to open the Microsoft L portal you 25:32 will open that website from the application you can see it here side by 25:38 side on on the left side you have the application on the right side you have the Microsoft l site so now while the 25:46 Microsoft land portal is available to you it's not that you're going to have a 25:51 lot of time to search for each question okay so make sure that you understand 25:57 how the information is organized in Microsoft land so that going to allow you to you know not every question but 26:04 if you you are thinking about something a specific question about a specific 26:09 view to monitor performance you know understanding the Microsoft landar portal is going to allow you to easily 26:17 find a section without you having to go you know through through a maze run trying to understand where that 26:23 information is so yeah go and learn about Microsoft land how the information 26:28 is a structure how to easily navigate the different sections and more important remember this is available to 26:35 you but I don't we don't recommend it to use it for every question you know some questions that maybe you are deciding 26:41 between A and B you know go and give it a go yeah and I agree to David when he 26:48 talks about that you know go ahead and experiment I'll tell you some of these exams could be really detailed oriented 26:54 and unless you practice it and for that you need to have either a Microsoft fabric capacity or a trial capacity I 27:01 think uh trials are now getting limited but still uh it look at your tenant if you have a trial capacity available in 27:08 case you don't have one purchased one in your organization please go ahead and start that and start using that to 27:15 practice it a lot see you will remember most of the things when you practice it 27:20 a lot like when we create data flow Gen 2 Data pipelines or when we try to create warehouses or lake houses some of 27:27 those things will work some of those things doesn't work and that is where we go ahead and explore all the options and 27:33 we will be able to know more now what happens here is some of these things are really really detailed and because it's 27:39 a intermediate level exam you might get little difficult portion then compared to what you were getting in dp600 that's 27:45 what the expectation is now here in that case it means that you have done a lot of practice and that's where I think 27:52 David is rightly pointed out practice practice and practice so more and more practice you do on 27:59 Microsoft fabric that is going to help you out and if you have some questions please ask in the chat window if you're 28:05 not aware how to start the trial uh moderators will help you out by giving them the link how to start that exam and 28:12 we will may be able to answer the same question little later 28:18 so go ahead try it out and then you will definitely be able to crack this exam 28:24 very easily if you have practiced it my advice would be pay attention to every detail what you are seeing on
